Why Pediatric Urgent Care For Kids
Dr. Tierling is a native Houstonian. She received her B.S. in Human Biology from the University of Texas at Austin in 2009. She signed on for a Teach for America position from 2009-2011 in the 5th ward of Houston with a focus on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math as a service project to her community. She obtained her M.D. from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (now known as McGovern Medical School) in 2015. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center in Baton Rouge, LA in 2018. She is a member of the Harris County Medical Society and Houston Pediatrics Society.
Dr. Tierling enjoys all aspects of pediatrics and loves watching her patients grow and develop into bright and mature adults. She has a special interest in asthma, nutrition, behavior, newborns and adolescent medicine.
She loves to spend her free time traveling and attending concerts. She is an avid hiker and enjoys reading and writing in her free time. She enjoys her bible studies and going to the ballet and symphony.
Dr. Joel Bonaparte is board certified in both Pediatrics and Neonatal – Perinatal Medicine.He received his MD degree from the University of Science and Technology, Ghana.
He completed his residency in Pediatrics at Weill Medical College of Cornell University, Lincoln Medical Center in New York, where he served as Chief Resident in 1999.
He completed his fellowship in Neonatology at the John Stroger Jr. hospital of Cook County, IL in 2002.
His passion to provide the ultimate standard of care for over 15 years both in the clinic and NICU has been his philosophy of practice. He is dedicated to taking care of the full spectrum of sick and well newborns to adolescents.
He and his family have lived in the Houston area since 2005, and he remains an active member of the society.
